This image is dedicated to Victor, who asked for a dark shot... i think he mentioned he likes candle shots, so here you have my friend. This image is Much easier to obtain than this one...
Main tips to get this shot
1) Use a black fabric as backdrop (or something that doesn't refleclect light).
2) Focus (manually!) on the smoke.
3) Use an external light/flash located behind and at some side of the scene (avoiding entering light on your frame).
4) Try with different camera settings!
EXIF. ISO: 200, Exposure: 1/100 sec, Aperture: 5.6, Focal Length: 50mm, Flash Used: Yes. Post-processing: PS.

wow!, nice effect, it would be good to know where you buy your candles, I want one like this! hehehe
Thanks for the dedication, i think fire makes good effects and is my favourite element, so simple and so destructive! (don't worry, i'm not pyromaniac, i just respect it hehehe)
Your welcome my friend! Mental note: next photo about fire will be dedicated to d3m4s1@d0v1v0! :)
Foto molto ben realizzata e suggestiva...complimenti!
Vito
